Congratulations to all our pupils who did the First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency exams of the University of Cambridge in the June and July sessions!
In fact, they really did very well and in all the different levels there was only one fail. To be more specific, of the 18 candidates who sat the First Certificate exam (FCE), all the students passed but one; all the three candidates passed the Advanced exam (CAE) and one got an A, the highest possible mark. At the level of Proficiency (CPE) we had nine candidates, three of whom got As.
Then, in the July exams there were fewer Albion School students. Between First and Advanced we had seven candidates, only one of whom did not pass.
Obviously, our job is not only to prepare people to pass these exams; many of our students want to learn English to talk and communicate better, to travel or to hold conversations with people from other countries. Nonetheless, for some students the certificate is extremely important and in the Albion School we hope that we have been able to help them.
